Dr. Dale was born and raised along the Puget Sound in Washington State. He received his Bachelors in Biology from Carleton College, a small college in Southeastern Minnesota. Prior to optometry school, he worked in research and development for a small San Antonio based medical device company, while simultaneously completing a Masters of Public Health Epidemiology from UT Health Science Center School of Public Health. Dr. Dale then received his Therapeutic Optometry degree with honors from the University of Houston. He spent the first few years of his career working for a full-scope ophthalmology practice based out of San Marcos, TX. Since then, Dr. Dale has ventured off to serve the needs of Blanco County and the surrounding hill country communities.

Dr. Dale welcomes patients for comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, stubborn red eyes, diabetic eye exams as well as the management and detection of common ocular diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. He has special interests in pediatric eye exams, double vision, low-vision aids, and myopia management. Dr Dale is now accepting patients of all ages.

Dr. Dale is a member of the Texas Optometric Society and has a passion for improving public health awareness for vision care. He tries to exemplify this passion by creating individualized treatment plans and spending extended time educating his patients. At Rolling Hills Eye Care, he promises to deliver quality eyecare at a great value for everybody.

When not working, CJ enjoys spending time with his wife Steff and baby Edith “Edie Lee.” He has a passion for getting outdoors and learning new things. He has loved getting into trail running since moving out to the Texas Hill Country.
