We have a full-service optical with modern frames and premium lenses from a local independent optical in Central Texas. We also carry and fit a wide variety of contact lens technologies.



Dr. CJ Dale, OD
Therapeutic Optometrist & Optometric Glaucoma Specialist
Dr. Dale was born and raised along the Puget Sound in Washington State. He received his Bachelors in Biology from Carleton College, a Masters of Public Health Epidemiology from UT Health Science Center School of Public Health, and his Therapeutic Optometry degree with honors from the University of Houston. After spending several years working in a medical ophthalmology practice based out of San Marcos, TX, Dr. Dale has ventured off to serve the needs of Blanco County and the surrounding hill country communities.
Dr. Dale welcomes patients for comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, stubborn red eyes, diabetic eye exams as well as the management and detection of common ocular diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. He has special interests in double vision, low-vision aids/magnifiers, and myopia management. Dr Dale is now accepting patients of all ages.
Dr. Dale is a member of the Texas Optometric Society and has a passion for improving public health awareness for vision care. He tries to exemplify this passion by creating individualized treatment plans and spending extended time educating his patients. What services do we offer?
Our optometrist offers comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and diagnosis and management of common ocular problems such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry-eye disease, double vision, and eye infections.
What medical insurances do we accept?
We are credentialed with or are in the process of credentialing with most major medical insurance companies, as well as Medicare (+advantage plans) and Medicaid services. If we are not in network with your plan, we offer affordable self-pay rates.
What can I expect during an eye exam?
During a comprehensive eye exam at Rolling Hills Eye Care, our experienced optometrist will first get your best glasses and contact lens prescription. He will then thoroughly evaluate and educate you on your ocular health – checking for problems such as cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and hypertensive and diabetic retinopathy.

What are the hours of operation?
Rolling Hills Eye Care is now accepting patients Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during normal business hours, and after hours for emergency care on case-by-case basis.
Where are we located?
Rolling Hills Eye Care is located in Blanco, TX township at 700 4th St. We are a light blue building just west of the town courthouse on the other side of Hwy 281, and before Blanco ISD.
